Haakon is currently working on a book-length biography on the Ottoman Greek international civil servant and diplomat Thanassis Aghnides titled The International Bureaucrat in the Twentieth Century – A
Transnational Biography of Thanassis Aghnides. He is also co-editing a volume on global biographies (which includes three contributions on Ottoman protagonists) and is heading a digital history project which maps the international civil servants of the League of Nations Secretariat 1919-1939.
